WASHINGTON - Mar 31/20 - SNS -- Farmers intend to plant 12.6 million acres of spring wheat other than durum, down 1% from 2019, according to the USDA.
Of this total, about 11.9 million acres are Hard Red Spring wheat.
Compared with last year, acreage increases are expected in all spring wheat-producing States except Minnesota and North Dakota. Planted area in North Dakota, the largest producing State, is estimated at 6.10 million acres, down 9% from last year.
