WASHINGTON - Mar 31/20 - SNS -- Dry edible beans growers intend to plant 1.37 million acres of dry edible beans in 2020, up 7% from the previous season's 1.29 million acres, according to the USDA.
Planted area is expected to be above last year in all estimating States except California. Area is not broken down by class, but states in which area is rising suggests there will be more land in pinto and navy beans.
