Russia's Chickpea Exports Record Soft Opening

PANAMA - Mar 26/20 - SNS -- Russia's exports of chickpeas in January fell versus the previous month, judging from data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.

The updated statistics showed movement for the month totalled 27,688 metric tons (MT), down 53% from 59,167 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, movement were up 12% from 24,684 MT.

The most important consumer for the month was Pakistan, receiving 12,085 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination taking 6,196 MT, followed by Kyrgyzstan at 3,151 MT.
