Turkey's Lentil Exports Start With Firm Tone
PANAMA - Mar 26/20 - SNS -- Turkey's export shipments of lentils in January jumped compared to the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
The updated statistics showed movement during the month totalled 34,162 metric tons (MT), up 38% from 24,677 the previous month. Versus the same month last year, exports are up 17% from 29,078 MT.
Iraq was the number one importer during the month, buying 7,533 MT. Egypt was the second most important buyer receiving 5,061 MT, followed by Sudan at 3,942 MT.
