Spain's Confection Sunflower Imports Open On Firm Note

PANAMA - Mar 20/20 - SNS -- Are beginning the current calendar year with a a firmer tone, with confection sunflower imports for Spain made modest gains, rising compared to the previous month in January, according to official data from Eurostat.

Imports during the first month of the calendar year totalled 15,022 metric tons (MT), up 12% from 13,434 MT the previous month. The statistics revealed imports is up 3% from the 14,563 MT recorded in the same month last year.

The largest exporter during the month was France, selling 11,253 MT. China was the second most important supplier supplying 1,553 MT, followed by United States at 835 MT.
