Sunflower Seed Imports By China Continue Solid Performance

PANAMA - Mar 18/20 - SNS -- China's imports of sunflower seeds in December leapt versus the previous month, judging from data from General Customs Administration of China.

Imports totalled 76,630 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 72% from the 44,445 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 303,760 MT, versus 141,031 in the same period the previous calendar year.

For the month, Kazakhstan was the biggest supplier, supplying 61,469 MT. Russia was the second most important origin selling 13,690 MT, followed by Bulgaria at 1,469 MT.
