Field Pea Imports By China Maintain Easy Trend
PANAMA - Mar 18/20 - SNS -- China's imports of field peas in December posted massive declines, sinking versus the previous month, judging from data from General Customs Administration of China.
Total imports for the month amounted to 70,171 metric tons (MT), down 82% from the previous month's total of 391,088. So far imports have amounted to 2,004,000 MT, down from 2,084,518 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Canada was the top exporter during the month, selling 66,563 MT. United States was the second most important export origin supplying 1,893 MT, followed by France at 1,430 MT.
