Edible Beans Maintain Firm Tone

PANAMA - Mar 14/20 - SNS -- Few changes were recorded in North American dry edible bean markets during the past week, despite underlying anxiety about demand in pulse markets in general.

The net result was the spot index for dry edible beans in the United States was unchanged on the week at 159.7, reflecting the fact most product is consumed domestically.

By contrast, the Canadian pulse prices index lost 1.1 points on the week to close at 135.4. Interestingly, the global index gained 2.9 points to finish at 146.
