Green Lentil Exports From Canada Open On Soft Tone
PANAMA - Mar 6/20 - SNS -- Exports of green lentils from Canada were slightly lower, falling relative to the previous month in January, official trade data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Exports for the opening month of the marketing year totalled 25,788 metric tons (MT), down 15% from 30,398 MT the previous month. The data revealed shipments is down 29% from the 258,806 MT reported during the same month last year.
Current movement data reported Peru was top destination, taking 3,225 MT during the month. Colombia was the second most important importer receiving 3,122 MT, followed by Morocco at 3,064 MT.
