Canada's Yellow Pea Exports Manage Easy Performance
PANAMA - Mar 6/20 - SNS -- Movement of yellow peas for Canada were well down, plunging versus the previous month in January, trade data from Statistics Canada reveals.
The most recent data showed movement for the month totalled 136,540 metric tons (MT), down 53% from 291,316 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, movement were up 32% from 1,219,389 MT.
The biggest importer for the month was China, taking 88,703 MT. Nepal was the second most important buyer receiving 14,881 MT, followed by India at 14,058 MT.
