Australia's Lentils Exports Record Weak Performance
PANAMA - Mar 5/20 - SNS -- Australia's export shipments of lentilss during January eased compared to the previous month, judging from data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Shipments during the first month of the marketing year totalled 70,957 metric tons (MT), down 2% from 72,252 MT the previous month. The data showed shipments was up 258% from the 57,305 MT recorded in the same month last year.
Bangladesh was the top destination during the month, taking 21,744 MT. India was the second most important destination taking 16,902 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 12,717 MT.
