Slow Week For Chickpeas
PANAMA - Feb 14/20 - SNS -- Chickpea markets were little changed in limited trading interest during the past week.
Expectations of a steep reduction in kabuli chickpea output in both India and Mexico is adding support to the market for large kabuli, but the market for medium and small caliber product remains over supplied.
Canada's stocks in all positions report for December 31 indicates the quantity of product being diverted into livestock feed markets is up significantly over last year, suggesting domestic usage could be higher than currently forecast.
