Australia's Lentils Exports Continue Strong Performance
PANAMA - Feb 6/20 - SNS -- Movement of lentilss from Australia were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in December, trade data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.
Shipments during the month reached 76,395 metric tons (MT), up from 62,178 MT the prior month. This lifted shipments so far during the marketing year to 138,573, up 227% last year.
The most recent movement statistics reported Bangladesh was number one importer, buying 31,188 MT. India was the second most important importer receiving 17,623 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 8,658 MT.
