Russia's Sunflower Seed Exports Continue Solid Trend
PANAMA - Feb 3/20 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year are keeping up a firmer tone, with sunflower seed movement for Russia were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in November, according to trade statistics from Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Export sales for the month totalled 112,877 metric tons (MT), up from 77,281 MT the prior month. This boosted shipments so far during the calendar year to 497,499, up 561% last year.
During the month, Turkey was the largest buyer, receiving 26,971 MT. Bulgaria was the second most important buyer buying 25,458 MT, followed by China at 19,626 MT.
