Spain's Confection Sunflower Imports Post Weak Performance

PANAMA - Jan 15/20 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year revealed a weaker performance, with confection sunflower imports for Spain posted significant declines, slumping relative to the previous month in November, according to the latest statistics from Eurostat.

Imports totalled 17,345 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 30% from the 24,607 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 229,178 MT, compared to 227,257 during the previous calendar year.

In the month, France was the most important exporter, selling 14,521 MT. United States was the second most important exporter supplying 1,044 MT, followed by Argentina at 724 MT.
