Lentil Imports By Turkey Continue Easy Trend

PANAMA - Jan 13/20 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year maintained their easier trend, with lentil imports for Turkey were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in November, according to recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports for the month reached 24,517 metric tons (MT), down from 48,985 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 298,845, down 8% last year.

The latest trade data reported Canada was number one shipper, selling 16,895 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important supplier shipping 6,042 MT, followed by Australia at 993 MT.
