Lentil Exports From Turkey Post Improved Result

PANAMA - Jan 13/20 - SNS -- Shipments of lentils from Turkey jumped relative to the previous month in November, data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shows.

Shipments during the month totalled 27,701 metric tons (MT), up from 23,142 MT the previous month. This increased movement so far during the calendar year to 229,088, down 15% last year.

The number one importer throughout the month was Egypt, taking 7,864 MT. Sudan was the second most important consumer buying 4,823 MT, followed by Iraq at 4,623 MT.
