Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Record Slow Performance

PANAMA - Jan 13/20 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds for Turkey were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in November, official trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.

Total imports throughout the month amounted to 57,849 metric tons (MT), down 23% from the previous month's total of 74,994. So far imports have reached 1,096,014 MT, up from 665,083 in the same period the last calendar year.

In the month, Romania was the most important origin, selling 24,356 MT. Russia was the second most important export origin selling 19,627 MT, followed by Other at 8,736 MT.
