Canada's Field Pea Exports Post Weak Month
PANAMA - Jan 7/20 - SNS -- Shipments of field peas for Canada were little changed, dropping versus the previous month in November, the most recent data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Shipments during the month reached 323,891 metric tons (MT), down from 401,094 MT the prior month. This increased shipments so far during the marketing year to 1,393,699, up 22% last year.
The most important consumer during the month was China, receiving 222,963 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important importer buying 23,739 MT, followed by Nepal at 19,671 MT.
