Russia's Sunflower Seed Exports Sustain Firm Tone
PANAMA - Dec 17/19 - SNS -- Russia's movement of sunflower seeds during October saw minorincreases, inching up versus the previous month, judging from data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Exports for the month totalled 77,079 metric tons (MT), up from 6,694 MT the previous month. This lifted export sales so far during the calendar year to 384,622, up 517% last year.
The biggest destination throughout the month was Turkey, receiving 36,661 MT. China was the second most important destination buying 9,164 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 8,345 MT.
