Turkey's Lentil Imports Record Improved Oucome

PANAMA - Dec 9/19 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year revealed a impeoved performance, with lentil imports by Turkey rocketed relative to the previous month in October, according to available data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports for the month totalled 48,783 metric tons (MT), up from 27,187 MT the previous month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 274,328, down 7% last year.

The top shipper for the month was Canada, supplying 25,211 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important shipper supplying 20,440 MT, followed by Russia at 1,627 MT.
