Lentil Exports From Turkey Maintain Soft Tone
PANAMA - Dec 9/19 - SNS -- Shipments of lentils for Turkey eased versus the previous month in October, official data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Exports totalled 22,940 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 7% from the 24,708 MT shipped the previous month. Shipments so far total 201,387 MT, compared to 230,992 in the same period the last calendar year.
Sudan was the most important destination, receiving 5,229 MT. Egypt was the second most important consumer buying 4,770 MT, followed by Algeria at 2,158 MT.
