Canada's Green Pea Exports Post Improved Result
PANAMA - Dec 5/19 - SNS -- So far during this marketing year posted a impeoved result, with green pea export shipments for Canada posted huge improvement, leaping compared to the previous month in October, according to recent data from Statistics Canada.
Total export sales for the month reached 35,706 metric tons (MT), up 132% from the previous month's total of 15,365. So far export sales have amounted to 57,956 MT, down from 77,652 in the same period the previous marketing year.
Current movement data showed China was top destination, receiving 15,682 MT during the month. Nepal was the second most important destination taking 7,460 MT, followed by India at 2,161 MT.
