Canada's Yellow Pea Exports Post Easy Month
PANAMA - Dec 5/19 - SNS -- Canada's movement of yellow peas in October fell versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Total shipments in the month amounted to 323,292 metric tons (MT), down 36% from the previous month's total of 508,182. So far exports have reached 924,717 MT, up from 705,824 in the same period the last marketing year.
China was the biggest consumer, buying 184,509 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination taking 50,700 MT, followed by India at 38,624 MT.
