Confection Sunflower Imports By Spain Record Strong Result
PANAMA - Nov 15/19 - SNS -- Imports of confection sunflowers by Spain rocketed compared to the previous month in September, the most recent data from Eurostat reveals.
Imports for the month reached 37,513 metric tons (MT), up from 8,428 MT the prior month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 187,226, down 5% last year.
The top exporter throughout the month was Bulgaria, shipping 15,860 MT. France was the second most important supplier supplying 9,714 MT, followed by Romania at 8,801 MT.
