Canada's Red Lentil Exports Maintain Solid Tone
PANAMA - Nov 5/19 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year are keeping up a stronger trend, with red lentil export shipments from Canada recorded huge improvement, rising compared to the previous month in September, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Movement totalled 200,875 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 575% from the 29,761 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 230,636 MT, versus 190,512 in the same period the previous marketing year.
The number one buyer during the month was Bangladesh, receiving 69,850 MT. India was the second most important destination taking 57,010 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 29,824 MT.
