Kidney Bean Imports By Brazil Reveal Weak Performance

PANAMA - Nov 5/19 - SNS -- Imports of kidney beans by Brazil sank compared to the previous month in September, the latest data from Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior reveals.

Total imports during the month reached 13,638 metric tons (MT), down 29% from the previous month's total of 19,254. So far imports have amounted to 109,920 MT, up from 51,294 during the last calendar year.

For the month, Argentina was the largest export origin, selling 13,471 MT. Bolivia was the second most important export origin supplying 162 MT, followed by United States at 5 MT.
