Peas Helped by Solid Disappearance

PANAMA - Nov 1/19 - SNS -- International field pea markets continue to be supported by strong opening season export movement from Canada and other origins.

By the end of October, Canadian farmers had delivered 32% of all peas available on their farms this season to country's bulk handling system, compared to 24% by the same time last year.

Bulk export loadings by the end of October had jumped from 539,900 to 848,500 metric tons (MT). Movement in October is down sharply from September, but this is the same pattern seen in recent years, reflecting on emphasis on moving early harvested product.
