Solid Movement Continues to Support Peas
PANAMA - Oct 25/19 - SNS -- Relatively strong opening season export movement continued to support international field pea markets during the past week.
The depth of demand is reflected in the fact Canadian farmers have delivered 31% of all peas they expect to have on their farms this season to country's bulk handling system, compared to 23% by the third week of October last year.
However, concerns remain about the depth of demand in 2020. Rabi crop prospects look good in Pakistan and India because of the strong end to this year's monsoon rainy season.
