Turkey's Lentil Exports Continue Weak Tone
PANAMA - Oct 9/19 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year maintained a softer tone, with lentil movement from Turkey dropped relative to the previous month in August, according to recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total movement in the month reached 11,368 metric tons (MT), down 14% from the previous month's total of 13,255. So far shipments have totalled 153,745 MT, down from 174,617 during the last calendar year.
The latest movement data showed Sudan was largest destination, receiving 3,469 MT. Egypt was the second most important consumer buying 1,071 MT, followed by Germany at 799 MT.
