Canada's Field Pea Exports Reveal Soft Month
PANAMA - Oct 4/19 - SNS -- Movement of field peas from Canada posted massive declines, sinking versus the previous month in August, the most recent data from Statistics Canada shows.
Movement reached 113,226 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 62% from the 297,079 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 113,226 MT, compared to 112,398 during the previous marketing year.
For the month, China was the top destination, buying 92,719 MT. United States was the second most important buyer buying 8,136 MT, followed by Colombia at 2,043 MT.
