Canada's Green Pea Exports Continue Soft Tendency
PANAMA - Oct 4/19 - SNS -- Exports of green peas for Canada fell compared to the previous month in August, the latest data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Total exports during the month amounted to 6,595 metric tons (MT), down 51% from the previous month's total of 13,409. So far export sales have amounted to 6,595 MT, down from 19,941 during the last marketing year.
Current movement statistics revealed China was most important consumer, buying 2,688 MT in the month. Colombia was the second most important buyer taking 749 MT, followed by Philippines at 671 MT.
