Brazil's Kidney Bean Imports Maintain Firm Performance
PANAMA - Oct 1/19 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year are maintaining a firmer performance, with kidney bean imports by Brazil showed modest gains, advancing compared to the previous month in August, according to available statistics from Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior.
Total imports throughout the month amounted to 19,052 metric tons (MT), up 4% from the previous month's total of 18,266. So far imports have reached 96,282 MT, up from 39,338 in the same period the last calendar year.
Current movement data showed Argentina was number one exporter, supplying 18,884 MT for the month. Bolivia was the second most important supplier supplying 168 MT, followed by at 0 MT.
