Sunflower Seed Imports By Turkey Post Easy Performance
PANAMA - Sep 16/19 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds for Turkey posted massive declines, sinking relative to the previous month in July, data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reports.
Imports during the month totalled 51,663 metric tons (MT), down from 182,523 MT the prior month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 918,710, up 50% last year.
The biggest origin for the month was Russia, supplying 21,526 MT. Ukraine was the second most important origin selling 11,979 MT, followed by Other at 9,570 MT.
