Germany's Confection Sunflower Imports Reveal Easy Month
PANAMA - Sep 13/19 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year revealed a weaker month, with confection sunflower imports for Germany sank relative to the previous month in July, judging from available statistics from Eurostat.
Imports during the month totalled 1,137 metric tons (MT), down from 26,517 MT the prior month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 147,977, up 29% last year.
In the month, China was the top exporter, selling 459 MT. Moldova was the second most important exporter shipping 345 MT, followed by Turkey at 315 MT.
