Australia's Lentils Exports Extend Easy Tone

PANAMA - Sep 5/19 - SNS -- So far during the current marketing year extended a easier trend, with lentils movement from Australia sank compared to the previous month in July, judging from official trade data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.

Total export sales throughout the month reached 35,852 metric tons (MT), down 50% from the previous month's total of 71,297. So far exports have amounted to 252,156 MT, down from 370,905 in the same period the last marketing year.

The most recent trade statistics revealed Bangladesh was biggest consumer, buying 18,027 MT. India was the second most important buyer taking 7,204 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 4,444 MT.
