Field Pea Exports From Canada Record Slow Month
PANAMA - Sep 4/19 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of field peas in July were slightly lower, falling versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Total shipments during the month reached 297,169 metric tons (MT), down 7% from the previous month's total of 318,912. So far exports have reached 3,250,340 MT, up from 3,087,084 in the same period the last marketing year.
During the month, China was the top consumer, taking 233,515 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important consumer receiving 23,100 MT, followed by United States at 13,041 MT.
