Canada's Red Lentil Exports Reveal Easy Performance

PANAMA - Sep 4/19 - SNS -- Exports of red lentils for Canada were slightly lower, falling relative to the previous month in July, trade data from Statistics Canada reveals.

Exports during the month reached 113,007 metric tons (MT), down from 129,317 MT the prior month. This lifted exports so far during the marketing year to 1,232,746, up 66% last year.

India was the most important buyer, taking 46,369 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important destination taking 30,617 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 12,844 MT.
