Brazil's Kidney Bean Imports Continue Solid Tone
PANAMA - Sep 2/19 - SNS -- Imports of kidney beans for Brazil rocketed compared to the previous month in July, official trade data from Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior reports.
Imports reached 18,065 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 203% from the 5,964 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 77,028 MT, versus 31,478 during the previous calendar year.
The latest trade statistics showed Argentina was number one supplier, shipping 17,656 MT. Bolivia was the second most important exporter selling 408 MT, followed by United States at 1 MT.
