Multiple Factors Keep Beans Quiet

PANAMA - Aug 16/19 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets remained generally quiet during the past week with many European buyers still absent because its their summer holiday season.

This was reflected in modest adjustments in spot asking prices in the United States, with the result its spot index for beans rose 0.7 points on the week to close at 116.2.

The Canadian pulse price index was unchanged at 122.3, while the world pulse price index was slipped 0.5 points on the week to close at 135.7.
