Beans Remain Quiet

PANAMA - Aug 9/19 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets were generally quiet during the past week with several European now starting their annual summer holidays.

This was reflected in modest adjustments in spot asking prices in the United States, with the result its spot index for beans rose 0.7 points on the week to close at 116.1.

The Canadian pulse price index slipped 0.4 points to finish at 122.3, while the world pulse price index was unchanged on the week at 138.1.
