Birdseeds Modestly Firmer
PANAMA - Aug 3/19 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a mixed but somewhat firm note, with canaryseed steady, sunflower firmer, and millet weaker.
Canadian canaryseed markets have been helped by relatively good export movement through the closing week's of the 2018-19 marketing year.
Official export shipments in June pushed past 11,000 metric tons (MT), lifting clearances during the first 11 months of the marketing year almost in line with last year's total.
