Marketing Year Starts Quiet in Mustard

PANAMA - Aug 3/19 - SNS -- Canadian mustard seed markets opened the 2019-20 marketing year mostly unchanged in limited trading activity.

Most North American processors have covered their short term needs under longer term contracts with processors and exporters, while buyers in many parts of the world are now returning from their summer holidays.

The condition of the Canadian crop improved during the last half of July, with the proportion rated in poor condition sinking from 38% on July 18 to 12% by the 29th.
