Canada's Field Pea Exports Post Soft Performance
PANAMA - Aug 2/19 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year posted a easier month, with field pea export shipments from Canada were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month in June, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Total export sales for the month reached 318,878 metric tons (MT), down 10% from the previous month's total of 354,166. So far shipments have reached 2,953,042 MT, up from 2,793,094 during the last marketing year.
Bangladesh was the largest importer, taking 132,038 MT. China was the second most important destination buying 109,356 MT, followed by India at 38,465 MT.
