Canada's Green Pea Exports Record Easy Month
PANAMA - Aug 2/19 - SNS -- Shipments of green peas from Canada fell versus the previous month in June, trade data from Statistics Canada shows.
Movement reached 16,736 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 50% from the 33,179 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 288,220 MT, versus 276,469 during the last marketing year.
China was the top importer, taking 6,097 MT. India was the second most important consumer buying 4,517 MT, followed by Philippines at 1,376 MT.
