VANCOUVER - Aug 1/19 - STAT -- Canadian No 2 Richlea Lentil markets finished the 2018-19 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 45% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 2 Richlea Lentil was CDN$16.68 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $30.39 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $18.00 per cwt in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $14.63 per cwt in September.
