No 1 Red Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/19 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 Red Lentil markets finished the 2018-19 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 18% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 Red Lentil was CDN$18.18 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $22.26 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $20.00 per cwt in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $15.35 per cwt in August.
