No 1 Laird Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/19 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 Laird Lentil markets finished the 2018-19 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 41% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 Laird Lentil was CDN$22.13 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $37.72 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $24.00 per cwt in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $20.25 per cwt in October.
