Desi Chickpea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/19 - STAT -- Canadian Desi Chickpea markets finished the 2018-19 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 38% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Desi Chickpea was CDN$16.19 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $25.99 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $22.00 per MT in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $13.00 per MT in July.
