Field Pea Exports From Russia Continue Easy Trend
PANAMA - Jul 23/19 - SNS -- Russia's movement of field peas in May were well down, plunging versus the previous month, according to data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Exports for the month totalled 28,836 metric tons (MT), down from 56,283 MT the prior month. This lifted export sales so far during the calendar year to 204,631, down 62% last year.
Recent trade data revealed Turkey was number one consumer, taking 8,571 MT in the month. Pakistan was the second most important buyer receiving 8,554 MT, followed by India at 3,107 MT.
